The tide is changing and restrictions are easing up for vaccinated travelers. It is now easier to depart on your Voyage as an Au Pair or a TEFL teacher. We have waited for the good news, and now we are ready to share it with you!
CAMBODIA
The Cambodian government has announced that as of the 15th November 2021, quarantine on arrival is no longer required for fully vaccinated arrivals. You do however still need the pre-approved visa (no E-type/business visa on arrival yet). Full visa assistance is offered. (please note, an e-visa or tourist visa, can not be extended within Cambodia.)
You will need the negative PCR COVID-19 test no longer than 72 hours before flying (48 hours if flying with Singapore Airlines).On arrival you will do a rapid antigen test, and then be given the all-clear about half an hour later to be on your way.

THAILAND
South Africa is still considered to be on the red list of countries that have to attend the mandatory quarantine, though the process has become easier. The quarantine period has been reduced from 14 to 7 days for vaccinated arrivals from ALL countries, and there are some great, reasonably priced options, with the Phuket Sandbox Project (which we highly recommend as you are not confined to your room or even the hotel). Think of it as a ‘mini break’ before getting stuck into studying. Further good news is that the actual visa process is being simplified, with the COE (certificate of entry) falling away, and a new simplified version replacing this.

INDONESIA
Indonesia’s quarantine (for our Bali course) has been reduced to 3 days! You do however still need the pre-approved visa (no visa on arrival) . Full visa assistance is offered. You will need the negative PCR COVID-19 test no longer than 72 hours before flying. To stay in line with the COVID 19 Indonesian task force, all travelers are required to do 2-nights quarantine, released on the 3rd day. Hotels can be pre booked and average around $60USD per night.

TURKEY
Flight and arrival rules to be applied to travel from South Africa to Turkey as of 15 November 2021 Monday (arrival) are as follows:
Starting from the 15th of November passengers arriving from South Africa, Pakistan and Nepal shall be exempted from the application of quarantine if they submit a PCR test with negative result taken within maximum 72 hours before entry. They should also prove that they have been administered minimum *2 doses* (Johnson & Johnson - 1 dose) of vaccine and minimum 14 days have passed from the last dose. The passengers who cannot submit these documents shall go into 14 days of quarantine at their places of residence or at the addresses that they will declare.
USA
Starting on November 8, foreign national air travelers to the United States will be required to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination status prior to boarding an airplane to fly to the United States, with only limited exceptions. Fully vaccinated air travelers will continue to be required to show documentation of a pre-departure negative viral test from a sample taken within three days of travel to the United States before boarding. That includes all travelers – U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (LPRs), and foreign nationals.
