Jordan is a country that is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty, and there are many hidden gems to discover. It is an Arab country in Southwest Asia, in the rocky desert of the northern Arabian Peninsula. Grab your water bottle, hiking boots and a hat, and let us go on a historic adventure! Here is the itinerary for our Jordanian Voyage.
The first stop will be; Wadi Rum. This desert valley is located in southern Jordan and is known for its beautiful sandstone mountains and unique rock formations. Visitors can explore the valley on camel or jeep tours, and there are also many Bedouin camps where visitors can spend the night and experience traditional Bedouin life.
Little Petra is up next! Also known as Siq al-Barid, Little Petra is a small, hidden site located near Petra. The site features many of the same rock-cut architecture and tombs as Petra, but it is much less crowded and offers a more intimate and peaceful experience.
Then the magical Ajloun Castle, this medieval castle is located in the hills above the city of Ajloun and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The castle is a well-preserved example of Islamic military architecture and is also home to a museum that tells the story of the castle and its history.
Don't forget Madaba, this small town located south of Amman is known for its mosaics, including the famous 6th-century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Visitors can also explore the town's many churches and monasteries, which are rich in history and religious significance.
Wadi Mujib: This canyon is in the Dead Sea region and is known for its beautiful scenery and hiking trails. Visitors can also explore the canyon by boat and experience the unique ecosystem of the region.
We will then start to end our journey at Kerak Castle. This medieval castle is located in the southern city of Kerak, and it's known for its impressive architecture and rich history. The castle was once one of the most important Crusader fortresses in the region, and it offers visitors a glimpse into the history of the crusaders in the Middle East.
Then last, but most definitely not least; The Desert Castles. Jordan's desert castles are a group of Umayyad desert palaces and fortresses located east of Amman. They are known for their well-preserved frescoes, Roman and Byzantine mosaics, and Islamic architectural designs.
