Denmark Au Pair Voyage
• Take the children to school and extra-curricular activities.
• Prepare meals for the children and/or family.
• Assist the children with homework/projects. • Help dress and prepare the children for the day’s schedule.
• Assist with all child-related household chores.
• Assist with household chores, help keep the house tidy, do the children’s laundry, keep the play areas and kid’s rooms tidy, vacuum parts of the house. You will also be asked to keep your own bathroom and bedroom clean.
What to Expect

• Support from World Voyage through the application process and your Au Pair year.
• Support from our partnering agency in Denmark through the course of the Au Pair year.
• A minimum of 4550 DKK per month before taxes (approx. R11 000 at time of print, depending on the exchange rate).
• Danish language course paid by the host family.
• FREE Accommodation and meals with the family for the entire year's stay
• Access to other Au Pairs in your area
• Medical insurance paid by your host family as well as insurance against industrial injures, insurance against personal injury outside work, and insurance covering your transportation to your home country in case of death, serious illness and injury.

• You earn 2,5 days per month if you work 6 days per week or 2,08 days if you work 5 days per week.
• When your Au Pair stay ends, your host family must pay you for any holiday days earned but not used.

Requirements
• Be between 18-29 years old.
• Have a Grade 12 High School Certificate or equivalent NQF Level 4.
• Have a driver's license and be an experienced driver (non-drivers are also accepted, however it may take longer to match).
• Have non family related childcare experience with a minimum of 400 hours. This you can obtain by babysitting, tutoring, being a volunteer at a day-care or teaching practical's.
• Provide a minimum of 2 childcare references • Understand and speak English well.
• Have a passion to work with children
• Commit for one year (stay may be extended to two years).
• Be in good physical and mental health (candidates on anti-depressants or anxiety medication will not be considered).
• Be a non-smoker.
• South African, Zimbabwean, Botswana and Namibian citizens are accepted.
• Be unmarried & have no children.
• Have no criminal record or previous convictions.
• If you have a First Aid Training and/or any degrees and diplomas it will count in your favour and will give you an advantage with a stronger profile.
